The Public Finance unit has been established to cater and adhere to the needs of growing imbalances between fiscal and monetary policies in the country with a view to achieve macro-economic stability. It is a hard-core unit of SPDC which has been working since its inception. It has provided technical assistance in the budget making process of the country both at the national and provincial levels. The unit has evolved some innovative strategies such as resource mobilization, resource generation, progressivity in overall taxation structure, tax-base broadening through various taxation measures and reducing multiplicity in taxes. |
