The Governance unit’s primary responsibility embodies research and policy analysis on various facets of Governance. These include the whole area of devolution and decentralization, public-private partnerships, regulation and deregulation, study of institutions and reforms necessary for making them efficient and cost effective (these aspects are not mutually exclusive). The unit also conducts monitoring and evaluation studies related to the delivery of social services in Pakistan as and when required. Another area of research activities of the unit has been study of the civil society sector in Pakistan. Currently, the unit has personnel in the areas of public policy and administration, social policy, education and health. Further, overseeing the unit, is a governance, institutions and social policy expert. |
