Khalida Ghaus |
| Prof. Dr. Khalida Ghaus- presently is serving as Managing Director, Social Policy and Development Centre. She has a teaching / research experience of almost 26 years. Dr. Ghaus has written several research articles on issues of foreign policy, gender, and a socio-development besides, having a book and two monograph to her credit. She has also been involved in the policy- making (both) with the Federal and Provincial Governments on gender-related issues. She is a former Director of Centre of Excellence for Women Studies- a teaching/research institute, Chairperson (Dept. of International Relations) (University of Karachi), Hon. Director SS College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and Hon. Director, Pakistan Centre for Democracy Studies. Dr. Ghaus has also participated in several international/ national seminar/ conferences and has given lectures in Canadian and American Universities. She has also attended sessions of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights. She is a member of several professional bodies and is a nominee of the Provincial Government in the monitoring committee constituted on Women Empowerment. |
