Training is imparted to increase the skills of federal, provincial and local governments, the private sector and NGOs. Due to SPDC’s comparative advantage in the field of economics, statistics, finance and planning, it provides specialized training to policy makers and planners to help them overcome their deficiencies in these areas and develop technical skills necessary for analyses of data and policy formulation.
SPDC has been able to provide training to government and NGO officials in data management, health economics and qualitative and quantitative research techniques. Direct and indirect feedback, and technical assistance is also being provided to federal, provincial, and district governments especially on matters related to fiscal devolution. The workshop on “Gender Responsive Budgets” has trained a cadre from across the country that include government officials, and members of the civil society, and academia who work as trainers and researchers. |
